A Steamy Time at Iceland’s Geysirs
Geysir eruptions on a tour of the Golden Circle in Iceland. Haukadalur Valley is an extremely active geothermal area, in fact the original Geysir from which all others derive their name is located here. Though the original Geysir is dormant now, Storkkur erupts rather frequently. Also, note the skyline…the land here is beautiful

Great video. I wasnt expecting such a big explosion at the end, but that is awesome.
What a geyser photo. The only geysers I’ve ever seen were at Yellowstone. Pretty amazing.
I’ve been to Yellowstone too. I was younger, but I remember Old Faithful being huge.
Hey there,
Since you guys have been to Iceland and probably did a lot of budgeting research, do you have some tips for me?? I’m trying to plan a longish trip there in October (2 weeks Reykjavik and Northern Lights hunting)
Cheers,
Denise from travelwithdenden.
I have to say, we really lucked out with our budget. The volcano caused a drop in tourism and all the companies adjusted their prices to compensate. That said, first plot out all the sights you might want to see and compare the price of a tour to some of the attractions to the price of renting a car.
Reykjavik can be done top to bottom in about a day, so you’re going to want to get out of the city and see The Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, etc. In 2 weeks, you can easily drive around the entire country…without even trying hard, so you might save some money by doing public transportation. I’ll tell you what, drop us an e-mail at bob@vagabond3.com and I can answer more questions for you.
Simply STUNNING! I want to go as soon as possible
