The Best Margarita in Los Angeles & Recipe

margaritas

I’m going to get right to the point: The best margarita in Los Angeles is at El Coyote on Beverly Blvd. Better than a delicious margarita, is a margarita that only cost $4.50. Yep, you read that right, on Margarita Monday this drink is only four dollars and 5o cents. It’s unbelievable, I know. But what exactly makes a margarita good?

Do you prefer your margarita blended or on the rocks? With or without salt on the rim? (tough questions, I know!)

The house margaritas at El Coyote were served on the rocks (my new favorite way) with heavy salt on the rim. They were the perfect amount of tequila and lime, with a slight zing on your tongue after your first sip. They go down smooth and have just enough tequila where you feel tipsy after just one. Oh, and you aren’t going to have just one.

I’ve sampled a lot of margaritas in the six years that I’ve lived in LA and this is the absolute best for flavor and price. But I did not have this amazing discovery on my own. I owe my new-found love to the one and only Melanie from the travel blog, Travels with Two. Bob and I met up with her last week for a couple margaritas and some of their chunky guacamole. Is it sad to say that our dinner that night might have been two bowls of chunky guac and several baskets of chips? And by might, I mean it was. And by sad, I mean awesome.

There you have it folks, the best margarita and chunky guacamole in Los Angeles. Oh, right… and it’s Monday. If you happen to need a margarita today, you know where to find me!

If you don’t live in LA, I found and tasted this recipe and fell in margarita heaven. You will too. Try it today- and take note of the slight upgrade in liquor choices as that made all the difference!

So tell me, what makes the perfect margarita to you? And where can I try it?
