The biggest expense for Australia is the flight but with Qantas Explorer Program you can book your international flight and all your domestic flights in Australia and New Zealand for a discount. Plus you can book experiences through their Passenger Perks program, with discounts up to 40% off. This includes snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, Bridge climb in Sydney or Brisbane, the Australia Zoo, etc. We stayed at Mantra Hotels (an Accor brand) and got two-bedroom luxury apartment style rooms in each city for around $300 a night. And most include breakfast!
