Greetings from Spain!
The last time I was in Spain, my mom and I bought cheap tickets on RyanAir and flew to Barcelona over America’s Thanksgiving. We had never been to Spain before, spoke very little Spainish (and had even less confidence speaking it), and didn’t exactly know what to do or what to expect. We foolishly took a bus tour that dropped us off at a fake “Spainish village” for three hours, basically to eat expensive crappy food and buy goods made in China. It was a joke.
That was nine years ago (wow mom, we are old!) and I’ve traveled so much more since then, practiced up on mi espanol and feel so happy to experience the real Spain and Costa Brava area.
Here’s a few photos from the last couple of days where we have toured through Barcelona and Girona. So many tapas have been tasted, not a wine I didn’t drink (they have all been so good) and a person I haven’t loved.
If you are planning a visit the Costa Brava area, make sure to check out Charming Villas for luxurious, unique and totally inspiring places to stay. It’s hard not to feel like royalty in one of these restored villas.
