There is a reason why stores don’t make shirts that say “I love LA”. I’m not sure there is anyone who loves Los Angeles all the time, day after day.
When I have been sitting in my car for over in hour in traffic that just will. not. move. I don’t love LA.
When I have to wait 45 minutes to eat lunch at my favorite spot because Joseph Gordon Levitt just decided that he loves their BLTAs as much as I do and know TMZ is stalking him- I do not love LA.
When I’m hiking in the hills and the smog layer is covering the entire city- I do not love LA.
When I finally decided to take the subway downtown and it doesn’t run back up to Hollywood passed midnight and am stuck taking a taxi- I do not love LA.
BUT…
when I do finally reach the beach and I see the sun set over this pier… I love LA. Those few moments make LA worth living in. Those moments are glorious and awe inspiring. Those moments are the reason bands sing songs about driving up the PCH and hanging out on Santa Monica Blvd. This is my happy place and today I’m sharing it with you.
