When most people are planning their weddings, they pick a beautiful day in the future where nothing else will get in the way. Not me- oh, no, that would be entirely too easy.
Why wouldn’t you want to plan a website launch, finalize designs on a huge three month promotion, travel for work, finalize wedding programs and miscellaneous wedding stuff, and fly to your out-of-town wedding location all in 20 days?
Why- because, well, you’d like to have hair on your wedding day. You’d like to do those final arm work-outs that you’ve been putting off for six months but are really going to focus on now. You’d like to, i don’t know, actually get married without your fiance wanting to kill you. Simple things, people, simple things.
One thing I was actually looking forward to was traveling to Virginia Beach with Bob. Yes, it was for work, but it still felt like a little reprev from all the other chaos that seemed to be flying around us a thousand miles a minute.
I’m going to call this travel the pre-moon. And, well, Virginia Beach is lovely.
Our mission: Find fun activities, cute restaurants and secret spots to share with Travel Mindset crew. Bob was creating a few videos and I helped scout location.
I also ate a lot of crab. Crab balls, she crab soup, crab legs, fish stuffed with crab- if there was a way to have crab, I ate it.
We also kayaked to a bald eagle nesting area (holy, what?!), watched the sunset over the ocean, and ate a lot more crab.
Oh, yeah- did you just read that? Kayaked to a bald eagle nesting area! How cool is that? I had never seen a bald eagle in real life before and it was super cool.
Have you been to Virginia Beach before? Highly suggest a weekend getaway if you live nearby.
