Plus, you’re never more than 60 miles from a body of water anywhere in the state. In our opinion, Florida is best explored in the Fall, where the weather is just perfect and there are way less crowds.
Don’t try to do it all in one visit. Plan mini trips to really soak up each experience.
Disney World and surrounding parks could easily take a week or longer to fully enjoy. We suggest picking one park each visit so you don’t get overwhelmed or worn out of theme parks.
The beaches on the Panhandle have that silky white sand and emerald green water that reminds us of the Caribbean. Prepare to spend all day in the warm Gulf.
Different cities have different dress codes. Don’t assume everywhere is laid back beach casual. Miami and most of south Florida dresses to the nines.
Driving from Jacksonville to the Keys is around 12 hours, with stops.
