This week’s topic on Traveler’s Night In, a “Tweet-up” for travelers, was High Altitude Travel. Ten questions were asked, tagged #TNI, and afterwards I added several Mile High cities to my bucket list!

Q1. Favorite high-altitude activity?
- @MiddleSeatView confession: my most exciting high altitude activity was going to my cousin’s wedding in Denver!
- @theexplorateur Flying of course but watching the transition from night to day on a transatlantic flight- beautiful!

- @ehalvey Going to the top of churches for the view. 600 year old buildings have proven themselves to me, not skyscrapers or ski lifts.

Q2. Tips for combating altitude sickness and/or fear of heights?
- @Banff_Squirrel Altitude tips: limit alcohol (sorry @mobilelawyer), drink plenty of water, moisturize hair with coconut oil

- @megancks: Lots of water for the altitude sickness. Theres no such thing as too much

- @SeaFox4Best vantage point I’ve been to is a tie between top of a Temple V at Tikal and near top of Mt. Meru in Tanzania looking at Kili.
