Q1: How do you pack? Cram or organized?
- @DaninAustralia Sometimes I even put space saver bags INSIDE other space saver bags… I need all of the room I can get!
- @MiddleSeatView Heading there I pack last minute, but very organized. Coming home, it’s all about the cram.
- @DougFressh Organised. Everything in its place, reduces packing time if everything knows where it’s supposed to go
- @Technosyncratic I’m a compulsive organizer, so I have all the gadgets (packing cubes, compressing bags, etc.).
- @packdsuitcase Organized- everything folded and in their right spot. Which is not how I live my life. Go figure.
- @itchyfeet_kg To avoid bag fees I just wear all my clothes then pack into my empty hand luggage when on board. Hot but always works.
Q2. What’s in your carry-on?
- @mobilelawyer Day backpack. Camera equipment. Laptop. Kindle. The stuff I’d be bummed to have stolen or lose.
- @AllTravelSites I usually try not to check a bag, so everything will be in my carry-on
- @JuliaConey Kindle, iPhone, Mac computer; cosmetic bag of beauty treats; loose leaf tea; & magazines.
- @WeekendInParis Driving glasses, sunglasses, lip balm, wallet, passport, iPhone, gum, pen, info on where parked car, headphones, mags
- @toeuropewithkid Earplugs and Xanax.
- @HistoricHotel Scarf, maps, historic info on where we’re headed, chap stick, and hand sanitizer
Q3. Your must-have item when traveling?
- @thecitizeNY I know this sounds crazy, but I go nowhere without a pair of tweezers. Don’t ask.
- @amandaelsewhere Camera aka the free souvenier maker.
- @BootsnAll A companion. I don’t do the solo travel thing well.
- @TravelMaestro: Have to have a pashmina – has a world of uses!

@kymri my dogs, even though the little one tries to make a bed of my suitcase as I pack.
- @italylogue I also have a much more colorful wardrobe than my travel wardrobe shows: when I travel, it’s pretty much all black.

Q5. Biggest luggage disaster while traveling?
- @LifeOutofaSuitc KLM lost my bags on the way to malaysia for FIVE days – had to go to the beach in jeans & black t-shirt #epicfail
- @KatyHarrison Coming back from Spain, travel friend was trying to fly home w/ sword from Toledo. Customs didn’t like that
- @kelleyferro Lost my luggage in the Galapagos, luckily I packed a bathing suit & was set! moral: always pack bathing suit!
- @katyabroad a US border guard completely tipping out my entire suitcase all over the place and yelling at me when i had a connection to make
- @ishouldlogoff Dad’s suitcase lost on the way to Italy. Everyday owner of pension offered to wash his underwear. Awkward.
- @travelerkate Electric toothbrush got turned on when checking it. Luckily nobody thought it was a bomb;unluckily people assumed something else
Q6. What luggage features can you not live w/out?

- @kerrberr Expandable! If I don’t have plenty of room when I leave, I know I’m going to have to ship stuff back.
- @HouseinJerez A Working zipper is all I require.
- @BckPackerBanter …a waterproof compartment/bag for my wetsuit/boardies, always nip in for a last minute dip 🙂
- @GAT_ChinaTours After buying suitcases that have 4 wheels, I’m never going back. My suitcase isn’t a drag anymore 😉

Q7. Do you prefer to check or carry-on?
- @RickGriffin I prefer to carry on, but usually have to check luggage when carrying video equipment.
- @worldschooled gotta check it. My trips are long term and now we have two kids in tow.
- @treycocktail Carry-on. The faster you get out of the airport the sooner you get to the beach bar! #

- @locationSCOUTED It’s electric blue so I can spot it in a crowd. It’s kinda stylish so it won’t embarrass me. It expands, when needed.
- @AmericanSahara When my old duffel comes through the chute people think “What’s with that?” Then they see me.
- @Shipsandtrips It’s lovely on the inside…
- @BreatheDreamGo Do I look fat in this luggage? 3 years–never black. Right now it’s purple.

- @upgrd Roll – don’t fold.
- @travelswtavel Best packing tips for travelers: less is more, plastic bags, something for the rain, and a good lock
- @claudiabia Take 1/3 of everything you were planning to pack and leave home.
- @deannsmithkc Packing tip I wish I would use more often…roll clothes & put socks & other items in shoes. Pack extra small plastic bags
- @IntoxAbroad if you’re departing early in the morning – pack before you go out drinking!
