Weekend Adventures in Los Angeles

los angeles things to do this weekend

Lately, Bob and I have been spending more and more time around our new neighborhood, getting out to explore the parks and new to us food spots. Each weekend we set out with a new adventure in mind and always stumble upon the best experiences.

A great weekend in Los Angeles is all about what part of the city you choose to spend it in.

  • Is it the 2nd weekend of the month? Spend time in Pasadena and go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Quick Tip: It’s cash only and the ATM’s they provide charge a $5 dollar service fee. Get money out before you arrive!
  • Is it a gorgeous sunny day (when is it not?)? Then head to Malibu or Marina del Rey for quality beach time without the traffic and crowds of Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Quick Tip: Renting surf boards or SUP boards in Malibu is really easy. Call ahead and reserve your board on a busy weekend. For more tips on beginner surfing lessons in Malibu, read on.)
  • Or if you don’t want to get in your car, bike around West Hollywood, hitting up different taco stops along the way. My current favorites are: Frida’s Tacos, Petty Cash Taco and Fat Cow.

No matter where you spend your LA weekend, brunch is a big hit around here. My favorite places to grab brunch in Los Angeles offer locally grown foods, and an absolute favorite right now is a BLAT. This week, Bob and I are going to spend a lot of time at different LA beaches and put together the ultimate guide for visiting and traveling to LA’s beaches. We hope to outline great beaches for surfers, families, couples, for lounging and adventure. Let me know if you have any specific beach locations in mind and we will hit them up for you! Make sure to follow along on Instagram, where the photos will be shared first!
