This week has been more than a little crazy around here. Between finishing up some videos for Expedia and getting engaged, we haven’t really thought about anything else. Bob sweetly sends me “omg- we’re engaged” text messages when we aren’t together and when we are together we are finishing voice over stuff or going out to celebrate with friends. It is a very exciting time around here!
One thing that I’ve wanted to do for a while now was highlight some of my favorite blogs, bloggers and awesome trips that I find online and bring them to you. Favorite Photo Post: Chattanooga, Tennessee by Kristin of Camels and Chocolate. This photo set is so much fun. The entire post makes me smile- I love the way the photos are laid out, the attitude they give off and the personal moments Kristin shares. This is one trip I would love to have tagged along on!
Favorite New Road Trip: Driving the American West by Travels with Two. When Melanie set off to drive around the American West- I was more than a little jealous. This is a part of the country that I think gets over looked and I would LOVE to take this trip- do you see all that snow- so pretty!
Favorite New Travel Blogger (that I just met): Joshua Johnson from Matador Network. (and his beautiful wife) Last week, Spencer Spellman, Bob and I hosted an Expedia happy hour for LA folks. Somehow Josh and I became friends on Facebook and met for the first time IRL last week. Turns out they live right down the street from us- yay- travel blogging friends!
Favorite Groupon Getaway: Do you Groupon? I’m sure you do- but if not- you should! We are constantly using their Daily Groupons for dining out around LA and am currently in love with their Getaway section. This Bed and Breakfast in Mendocino Coast sounds like the perfect weekend getaway from LA. Or this adventure weekend in Costa Rica is pretty tempting!
Favorite Travel Outfit: Black Maxi from Jen loves Kev. I love clothes. Period- end of statement- I’m obsessed. When we are traveling, I try to find ways to maximize how I can wear each item I put in my suitcase so I still feel put together and pretty. This black maxi dress and jean jacket are perfect examples of my go-to pieces when traveling. The black dress can be dressed up or dressed down- same with the jacket, and together they are the perfect travel outfit.
Favorite Pinterest Board to follow: Iceland by Abby of The Jungle Princess. Iceland was one of the last stops on our RTW trip and possibility one of my favorites. We took a four day road trip down the south coast and saw wild horses, icebergs, miles of purple flowered fields and not another person in sight. It was heavenly. Anytime I see photos of Iceland, it makes me want to pack my parka and book a trip.
