@utravelwithus Yeah in mexico there were these people who planned on staying longer but didnt book anything so we looked at resorts with them
@ACarlton I seem to only recall moments where I’ve been in distress and strangers have been kind to me…
@MiddleSeatView I once let a woman use my cell phone when hers was dead. She just needed to call her husband for a ride, but was so relieved!
@theexplorateur Helped an old man who didn’t speak English find a ride to take him to his nephew’s home from the airport.Nobody came to collect him!
@Liz_Webber Once paid for 2 guys’ hostel room w/my card (and they paid me cash) b/c hostel only took cards w/smart chip
Q2. Who is the luckiest traveler you know? Why?
@thecitizeNY Rock bands, very lucky. They get to travel on tour a lot.
@Chimeratravel I think anyone that gets the chance to travel and see the world is lucky!
@MikeCjourno The one who is truly happy to be on the road, I’ve met loads who see travelling as a status symbol. Gap Yah anyone?

@whereisyvette I had a Where’s Waldo hat I wanted to use as my lucky charm, but lost it after a week. So much for that!
@nearafar I always have a moment of silence when the plane takes off. It reassures me everything will be OK

@RunawayBrit Not being able to travel, having to work and save instead!!

@TheTrvlPrincess Bad Back+flying from FL to VA then driving a moving truck from VA to NY all in one day. 18hr travel day. AWFUL!

@Chimeratravel I’ve found the people in NZ to be among the nicest anywhere. Though the people in Botswana were as well.

Q8. Best random act of kindness you’ve experienced while traveling?
@lapearce Lost in Kyoto, a gentleman tried to help us find our way and ended up driving us around all day. Wouldn’t even take gas
@ZipSetRachel I love it when people walk me to my destination, not just give me directions. Major karma points!
@KatrinaMauro being invited home for awesome dinners with random peoples families!
@Liz_Webber Rail worker drove us to new hotel when first hotel canceled our reservation for lateness when train broke down

@MagellanPR Actually – have been stranded 4 five days in NYC @RitzCarlton – if you have to get stranded – you need to do it in style!
@ecuadorguide Galapagos Islands woudl do it for me .. with family & friends of course!

Q10. Have you ever had to use travel insurance? What happened?
@foodieintl Despite a torn ACL and broken foot overseas in the last 12mos, nope!
@ACarlton Yes…someone stole my ipod on a cruise and I got a brand new one because of travel insurance.
@NomadKeith Only once; I had a TIA & had to cancel a cruise we’d booked. No problems with refund.
@Only398 I have not had to make claims but I’ve had many clients who have! They were glad. The ones who didn’t have insurance weren’t.
